Family Week at Northwest Soccer Camp is the highlight of summer at my house.
I grew up in Seattle and attended Camp Casey 20 years ago as a kid. Now I have 2 kids and I continually receive joy from soccer as a youth coach, a "soccer Mom", and playing soccer myself 2 times a week. Going to camp is something we look forward to doing together as a family.

My kids love camp for the evening activities, the fort hikes, the friends, the crafts, the pool, the counselors, and of course, the soccer. I love Adult Week because of the superior quality of the coaching staff. The adults are coached as players and coaches; there is something for everyone, be it a newcomer to the game or an advanced player. We will continue to attend Family Week for the love of the game and the fabulous staff. Thanks, Cliff McCrath!

I'll admit it: I'm an unabashed and unapologetic supporter of Northwest Soccer Camp. Not only do I believe it represents the best soccer camp in this region of the country – and possibly the United States - it represents a tremendous value for our whole family. To put it simply, over the past decade, NWSC has become part of our Summer vacation planning.

Here's why:

  • As a parent,  I am continually looking for ways to provide positive experiences and learning opportunities for my child. By attending NWSC, our kids get a chance to work hard at something they love. In the process, they are making new friends and re-connecting with old ones. Meanwhile, they receive supremely high-quality coaching - specifically directed toward their skill sets - and in a fun and focused manner. And don’t over look the fact that if I attend Adult Camp, I get the chance to share and bond with my child in a rare and unique way – highly recommended!
  • As a coach, I am continually looking for means of improving and expanding my ability to teach (and reach) players. There is no better or efficient means of achieving this, in my opinion, than by attending Adult Camp – which represents a means of experiencing the game in the most hands-on manner imaginable. Getting this type of opportunity to play the game and talk “shop” with other coaches - while receiving hands-on experience and evaluation – has proven to be one of the wisest coaching decisions I have ever made.
  • As an adult player, practice time – let alone specialized practice time led by experts - is nearly unheard of. When I attend Adult Week, I get both – and so much more.  I know of no other – or better - program for the adult player which offers this scope of training. Not only will your skills improve, your understanding of the game will improve – right along with your overall enjoyment of the game. And its all-ages too: I’ve shared time at Adult Camp with kids fresh out of high school and “kids” approaching sixty! Believe me – if you are a player, a wanna-be player, a parent wishing to learn more about the game or a coach – Adult Camp is the way to go.
  • Finally - and if you need further proof - the food is great, the support, training  and medical teams are first-rate, and the setting - Camp Casey on Whidbey Island, smack on the waters of Puget Sound - is nearly unsurpassed in its beauty.

Maybe most important thing of all is that campers get to spend nearly a week with Uncle Nubby - the nicest man on the planet.

Come to Slammers Week

Be coached by the brothers that made this club so successful!

Sep 2006:  Salmmer alum Danesha Adams will come into her first training camp with the Women’s National Team as a forward  after an excellent performance at the 2006 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Championship in Russia last month. Adams led the USA in scoring with three goals and won the Bronze Ball as the third most valuable player in the tournament. She also nailed both of her penalty kicks in the USA’s shootout losses in the semifinal and third-place match. Adams, a junior at UCLA, has scored three goals in three matches for the Bruins since returning from Russia.
